Welcome

The mission of Food and Nutrition Services is to provide high quality, nutritionally sound, food service programs that support student learning. All District 206 Schools serve a nutritious breakfast and lunch everyday. All meals served meet nutritional standards established by federal (U.S. Department of Agriculture) and state (Minnesota Department of Education) regulations. Policies set by School District 206 also govern these programs.

Students and staff are offered meals at a reasonable price. Parents are welcome to eat with their child. Please call your child's school office ahead of time to allow for food preparation.

School Meals are Safe
Our personnel are dedicated individuals who have been trained, and most are Serv-Safe certified in safe food handling procedures. Our kitchens are regularly inspected by the Douglas County Health Department. Look for our Health Department seal of compliance proudly displayed at each cafeteria site.

Student Meal Accounts

At lunchtime each student (grades K-12) will enter his or her account number on a keypad. Students will use their ID number from last year. The food service cashier will assist students in grades K-1 by entering their ID number for the first few weeks of school. ID numbers for students new to the district will be mailed in late August.

Please help your child memorize their ID number before the first day of school. It can be practiced on any calculator.

Payment Options

District 206 is now offering online payment processing systems, ePayTrak or FeeZee, to allow parents to have easy and convenient online access to make meal payments into their family meal account 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Payments can be made using a VISA, MasterCard, or Discover debit card or credit card. There is a $3.00 transaction fee when making a meal payment using this service. The first time you choose to pay online, you will be asked to register and set up an account through the secure website. As per other credit card transactions, your payment may take up to one business day to be processed.

Meal payments are also accepted at your child's school and should be placed in the Payment Box located at the school site. Please include your child's full name and student meal ID in the memo section.

Payments are also accepted at the Food and Nutrition Services office located at 617 18th Avenue East, Alexandria, MN 56308 or remit by mail to the same address. Please make checks payable to ISD 206 Food and Nutrition Services. One check can be written for everyone in the family. Please include either your family number or your child's full name and student meal ID number in the memo section on each check written.
